The food is always delicious but we've noticed that the service in the last two years has really gotten to be so bad. It never fails that the workers seem to be irritated and annoyed to be at work. They don't smile or provide even an ounce of good customer service. I would give them 5 stars if they actually hired some servers that aren't so rude. Lastly, they charge a credit card fee like it's 1999.

I lived in Oakdale for many years. I moved away and tried ferrareses again years later. It's not as good as I remember. They no longer serve the grilled salami sandwich. Too bad. It was awesome. Service is good, it's always busy. Good cowboy ambiance too. Great sides and lasagna. Cold spaghetti is great.

I got a sandwich and a side of raviolis. Their sandwich was really tasty but it was all in the homemade marinara sauce that they use. It was incredible and flavorful. The atmosphere was very relaxed and rustic. Super fitting for Oakdale and the service was very friendly. I received my food fairly quickly as well.

I absolutely love this place!However, they took away the cowboysteak sandwich, so I know people who have not been back since. The prices are not cheap, but 2 sandwiches, and 2 drinks will cost you aprox. 41.00, or so. I love the Leo style grilled chicken sandwich. The roll they put it on is delish! The grilled chicken breast is so jui y! Leo style means mushrooms and cheese. My husband loves the pastrami Leo style. I always get the same thing, because I love it that much! I hear the ravioli dish and pasta dish is really good too. It is a unique country looking deli, that is almost always packed, because once you get the right thing u like, you crave it. Try that grilled chicken sandwich. You also get, spaghetti salad with it, or u can change it to potatoe salad or macaroni salad.

Stopped in again for another one of their fantastic hot pastrami sandwiches, called the pastrami Leo Camarillo here. It did not disappoint. It's priced super fair with the sandwich and a coke coming in a few bucks shy of $20. Service here is always friendly and with a smile! The restaurant is mostly wooden inside. It has a very western feel. You won't be disappointed. My buddy also loves the hot pastrami. Last 2-3 times he tried other items (rigatoni, lasagna) figuring it all must be that good. Sadly, according to him, they are a one shot wonder with that pastrami sandwich. I left five stars because I can't confirm that. Everytime I almost try something else I just can't seem to actually do it and end up ordering the Leo.

What else can be said about a local favorite & landmark deli such as Ferrareses Deli in Oakdale that hasn't already been said? My wife and I are never disappointed by the quality of their food, though the service can be slow at times depending on how backed up the kitchen can get at times. But it's well worth the wait while you have a cold beer (or two) or lemonade. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is on the old school rustic side, that we actually prefer over the super contemporary 'state-of-the-art' fast food joints that we grow less fond of every time we travel where less than warm food is typically served and the ambiance terrible. Anyway, my wife had the Chicken Dofino and I had the hot Ham & Swiss Cheese sandwich. Both were simply outstanding and hot, hot, hot, right off the grill. I sampled a local IPA beer that I really liked but didn't catch the name and my wife had a pink lemonade she loved. We left stuffed and are already planning another visit as soon as our relatives get back from vacation so they can sample the great food at Farrareses too. Our only complaint are their hours, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. They always seem to be very busy when we drive by, but maybe that's by design because of the short hours, though it just seems they'd also be very popular at dinner time too. Regardless, I want to recognize them for what they are; a very hard-working family owned business who crank out outstanding food, albeit slowly. As a result they get 5 stars from me. You're doing yourself and your family an injustice if you don't stop by a try this local favorite out the next time you're in the area or just driving through.
