We were thrilled to find a great dining spot in old town Monrovia, and finally had the chance to check out this gem. The atmosphere was inviting, and the service couldn't have been friendlier. The food and drinks were spot-on delicious. I tried the Shrimp Diablo and absolutely loved it! Can't wait to come back and sample more from the menu.

I love this area but we haven't been here for a while, so we decided to meet a couple of friends for a double date night. It was not super busy when we came here for dinner on a Saturday night. For drinks, I had their pineapple jalapeño margarita (maybe a couple or a few...). For starters, we had the bacon wrapped dates, meatballs, and charred brussel sprout. For mains, we had the short rib ragu, ribeye steak, and a couple of cioppinos. (For the ribeye steak, they ran out of potatoes, so it was served with asparagus instead of mashed potatoes.) YUM. Our server was awesome, and the bill was reasonable. I don't know why I don't come here more often.

Best local Italian restaurant. I love coming here. Always ordered the Braised Beef Rib with their homemade chimichurri topping and garlic mashed potatoes. Even at their busiest, they always seem to find me a table. I feel like a regular there. Their service staff are always attentive. Especially give props to the waiter that provided the best customer service. I forgot his name. When I get his name I'll edit this review to give him credit for making Valentine Day memorable. The ambiance is always right for any occasion. Lunch or dinner. The food is impeccable and you leave with a smile of satisfaction in every aspect. As you well know, in Monrovia, there's ample free public parking so finding a place to park is pretty easy. All the local parking are very close to all the Main Street full of restaurants and dessert places. All within walking distance.

The whole gang arrived for a family dinner at Bella Sera Trattoria at the Monrovia downtown. We reserved the back patio that is perfect for a private party. Our server Derek was very good at bringing drinks and food. The complimentary bread was so good that I decided to order its margherita pizza. Yes, it is very good. Together we tried many appetizers and main courses and everything was good. Unfortunately they ran out of tiramisu so we only got one piece to share. Overall we were very pleased with our experience. Too bad it is not that close to my home. Then again, may be that is a blessing in disguise.

Was having a serious craving for some carbonara so we stopped in for dinner during the Friday night farmers market. It wasn't too busy and they were able to seat us right away, but immediately after we sat down, they had to turn people away bc all the other empty tables were for reservations. The food was hit or miss - some excellent, some mediocre. Ambiance is wonderful but service is super slow. We started off with their delicious warm bread - seemed very fresh and paired with their herbed butter, it's heavenly!! It's complimentary but you have to ask for it - they don't just automatically bring it out so be aware. Everything was very beautifully plated here. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my Carbonara - it looks great and the portion is huge with a perfectly cooked egg on top - but it's extremely bland. Even after adding red pepper flakes, salt, and extra Parmesan - still completely bland. Their pancetta has no flavor so I suspect that's why? Not sure I'd get this again. My hubby ordered the White Wine Shrimp Pasta and this was definitely the star of our dinner - it was fantastic! Again, plated beautifully with generous potions - came with 4 giant shrimp cooked perfectly. And the dish was intensely flavorful- lots of garlic and sauce - lovely! Highly recommend! These pasta dishes were big enough for both of us to take a whole extra serving home - we could've easily shared one. But even still, I find their prices to be very high - especially for the area. Staff are mostly friendly. There's one or two that seem pretty unhappy but everyone else was friendly and welcoming. Service is very slow. Not sure if they were having an off night or staffing issues or something but it took ages for us to get boxes and the check and we never got refills on water. Our server was not visible most of the meal and never checked on us. Location is great - right in the heart of Old Town with great views of the main street and especially nice for people watching during the farmers market. Parking is in the numerous public lots and street parking is available when it's not the Friday night farmers market time.

I used Bella Sera Trattoria to cater a small birthday party for my fiancée after being recommended by multiple family members. I worked with Sarah, the catering manager, over text. She was quick, attentive and demonstrated the highest level of customer service. The inside was very clean and charming, as to be expected from a restaurant in Downtown Monrovia. The food was ready for pick up, promptly at the time discussed. The mushroom raviolis were a personal and crowd favorite. I appreciate they kept the chicken parmigiana and the pasta separate so nothing got soggy. I can't wait to work with Sarah and the team here for our next event or to pop by just us two for dinner.
