Zaiqa has been around for quite some time now, unfortunately they are in a hard to park area, and it's even harder to park with the big popular restaurant next door, Zaiqa is hands down the best Indian anywhere close to Downey, family owned and operated, this family makes good food, really recommend them.

Everything was wonderful! Tried something new instead of getting the same Indian dish as always and was surprised at the new flavor that melted on my tongue. It was such a tasty dish will be ordering more often, so glad to be led here by a taste of eggplant and Indian food!

Food was perfectly delicious. Always my go to place when craving for some biryani. Price is very economical and the service was great. My guy Sam always prepares my biryani hot and fresh from the pan. Tho the ambiance is a little off but that's fine because for me food quality and great service are more important than that. I highly recommend their biryani and tikka masala, perfect combo and i promise, you won't regret it.

I was planning to head to Certified Plant Growers nursery so decided to grab lunch nearby beforehand, and was in the mood for Indian food so ended up at nearby Zaiqa Grill for Pakistani food. They have a few dedicated parking spots in front of the restaurant, as well as a few tables inside for dine-in. It looks like they do primarily to-go orders as they have minimal waitstaff at the moment, though do allow dine-in. Service was attentive and fine. I ordered chicken tikka masala, haleem, plain rice, and one garlic naan. I wanted to try haleem since I had never had it before, it was a chicken and bean stew. I ordered both dishes medium spice level, and I could feel the heat! While I was able to tolerate the spice level, I was sweating, and would definitely consider not ordering everything at the same spice level if you don't want everything to be so spicy. The chicken tikka masala was creamy and flavorful. The rice was fragrant, and I had some leftover. The garlic naan was also AMAZING, one of the best I have had recently. It was so crisp and flaky, and even had holes dotted throughout. In the end, the total bill was not cheap ($37.85 pre-tip) but I also thought each entree was actually cheaper than how much people are charging nowadays for a la carte Indian dishes. I was also never offered anything to drink, but I also didn't ask for anything so it's partly my own fault. Overall, reasonably priced food and a good sized-menu, with decent service and pretty tasty food.
